BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — It took 23 holes of golf and a lengthy sudden death playoff for Susan Glasby to secure a third consecutive West Virginia Women’s Amateur Championship. After holding the lead for most of the final round on Wednesday, Glasby held off Savannah Hawkins in a five-hole playoff at Bridgeport Country Club.

Women's Volleyball Earns 2024 AVCA Team Academic Award
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Fairmont State women's volleyball program has earned the AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT for this past season as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association this afternoon. The award initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.
