Howard Hughes Holdings Begins Renovation of 90,000-Square-Foot Retail Property in Metro Houston
The Woodlands, Texas — Howard Hughes Holdings has begun the renovation of Grogan’s Mill Village Center, a 90,000-square-foot retail property located north of Houston in The Woodlands. Renovation plans include the addition of a new public gathering hub with a library that will feature multimedia rooms and a theater-style classroom, as well as a community center and 32,000 square feet of modern retail space. Current and future tenants at the property, which was originally built in 1974, include Brother’s Pizza, Ome Calli Café, Safeway Driving, The UPS Store, Woodforest National Bank, The Woodlands Cleaners, Chef Chan’s, 4H Tailor and SN Liquor. The project will also include upgrades to the existing farmers market.

Did you know? In 2023, The Woodlands Township Environmental Services joined forces with 227 volunteers to collect and audit escaped trash in the community, resulting in the collection of 4,561 littered items. This feat alone is a remarkable accomplishment, but over the course of 14 audits and 501 hours, dedicated volunteers then sorted and analyzed each and every piece of litter they found in our community. After analysis, the results were entered in the Keep Texas Beautiful’s TxLitter Database to inform comprehensive reports about “what gets littered where” in the Township.

Hit-and-run suspects wanted after deadly 3-vehicle crash on US-290, constable deputies say
Authorities are searching for three suspects connected to a deadly hit-and-run crash in Jersey Village on Tuesday.The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office posted about the crash on social media, saying it happened on the US-290 Northwest Freeway.Constable Mark Herman said the large truck failed to stop and ran into the back of another vehicle, killing the driver.Three Hispanic men got out of the truck to look at the damage before driving away, going east near the Sam Houston Toll Road, according to Hermann.Authorities did not provide further details about the suspects' descriptions but said they were last seen in a large 20-24-foot box truck or cargo van."If anyone has information on the wanted suspect vehicle, driver, or any dash camera video that might show the collision, please contact our office or your local law enforcement," Herman said.
