A reminder that a huge annual garage sale is taking place today and tomorrow. The Iowa Highway 141 Garage Sale will be going on all day today and tomorrow stretching from the City of Sloan to Grimes. (Fremont Co) A for-profit nursing home that has filed for bankruptcy says it owes Iowa taxpayers more than $1 million in fees the state failed to collect. In May, the for-profit Tabor Manor Care Center in Fremont County filed for bankruptcy, listing $1.3 million in assets and $2.3 million in liabilities.
