Wallkill man faces 10 years in prison for shooting girlfriend Joseph Lightfoot,18, of Wallkill, faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to criminal possession of a weapon for shooting his girlfriend during a fight in April. According to police, Lightfoot got into an altercation with a man in Walden and attempted to shoot him, but instead hit his girlfriend in the wrist. The woman was treated at the hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries. Lightfoot's sentencing is expected to take place in the coming weeks. "
