Record-breaking heat wave set to scorch western WA this weekend
SEATTLE — A few weather features will join forces to create a long-lasting heat wave in the Pacific Northwest beginning Friday. Records are likely to fall, especially on Sunday, as the peak of the heat carries Seattle into the low to middle 90s, and outlying areas like Issaquah, Enumclaw and Lacey into the upper 90s to nearly 100 degrees. On June 27, the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) issued an emergency suspension of the license for MJ's Pot Shop in Pullman, closing the business for 180 days.
