One man was shot in Folsom last night and the suspect in the shooting was arrested after a brief manhunt, according to the Folsom Police Department. The shooting happened at 8:45 Friday night in the area of Duchow Way and Wales Drive. Police were called to the scene for a report of a shooting.

On the 3rd day of the Sacramento Futures Championships, Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics 16-year-old Kelsey Zhang kept it rolling. After a big swim in the 400 IM on Thursday night, Zhang was back in action in the women’s 100 fly on Friday night, where she won in a time of 1:00.53. The performance came in just off Zhang’s career best of 1:00.10, which she set in May of this year. Fellow 16-year-old Sage Miller, a product of Iolani Swim Club in Honolulu, HI, came in 2nd with a 1:00.95. That was a huge personal best for Miller, taking nearly a full second off her previous mark of 1:01.75, which she swam just last week at the Hawaii LC Age Group Championships.
Sacramento County Main Jail inmate dead, another found 'unresponsive' but OK
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — One inmate died at the Sacramento County Main Jail Friday morning days after being brought in, according to officials. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a cell around 11:15 a.m. to find two unresponsive inmates. Both were removed from the cell and given first aid and Narcan.
