Southwest Missouri Humane Society hosts vaccination & microchip clinic
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) — This weekend, pet owners have a great opportunity to ensure their animals’ health and safety. The Humane Society of Southwest Missouri will host a low-cost vaccination and microchip clinic on Saturday. It starts at 9 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. Bordetella, DHPP, and rabies immunizations for dogs cost $12 each, or all three for $30. FVR-CP and cat rabies vaccinations cost $12 or $20 for both.

For the first time in a quarter century, Springfield Public Schools has a new logo. The image is an open, blue door. ‘OTC’ is no more, rebrands itself as ‘Ozarks Tech’
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Ozarks Technical Community College has moved away from using “OTC” as an acronym. According to Donna Barton, the College Director of Communications, the school is refreshing its branding and nickname. Though the school will still be “Ozarks Technical Community College”, it will also be known as “Ozarks Tech” instead of “OTC”.

Shooting investigation underway after possible exchange of gunfire in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Springfield police officers are investigating a possible exchange of gunfire in north Springfield on Wednesday night. Dispatch started getting calls a little before 7:00 p.m. about the incident. An officer tells KY3 that witnesses reported an exchange of gunfire between a vehicle and a house in the 2300 block of North Prospect Avenue. Officers found bullet casings in the area and damage to the house, but no injuries have been reported.
