Slash’s S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival hit Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre on Saturday.
Slash’s S.E.R.P.E.N.T. — Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance — Festival is a tribute to the blues. The traveling festival made a stop at The Greek Theater in L.A. Most of the songs on the set are from the new album with a few extras like Stone Free by Jimi Hendriex, one I would like to hear. Chris Robinsons’ performance was what you would expect, GREAT, he even whipped out a harmonica for quick break before Slash launched into a taste solo.

File this in your “stitch-in-time-saves-nine” (and perhaps millions of dollars) file. We suggest this because you probably don’t have an “if you pay a retiree from a tiny city more than a half-million dollars a year as pension, you might want to look more closely” file — but rest assured that the California Public Retirees’ Employment System now has a file like that.
