Without a doubt, 2020 has been a very challenging year for all of us, travelers. Although it may not be possible at the minute to plan those long-haul voyages, we all need something to look forward to. This is why I put together a list of ideas for your bucket list, which will feed your wanderlust soul and inspire the travels of your dreams. 

Explore Bali and cruise around Komodo Islands

Bali is heaven on Earth and is definitely bucket list worthy. However- there is so much more to see in Indonesia than just the island of gods. This is why you should consider exploring it’s wildest parts to experience the best of nature. 

Bali is a perfect base to start your trip around Indonesia. It’s also home to impressive waterfalls, temples, boutique jungle resorts and a variety of cafes and social venues. Balinese nature is one of a kind. You can climb the volcano, take scenic routes through the rice fields or watch the most spectacular sunsets. Combining all the natural resources with incredibly rich culture makes Bali the perfect travel destination. The island is a very popular spot for digital nomads, backpackers, but also travellers who seek the ultimate luxury in world’s leading resorts.

Just a 30-minute boat ride from Bali there’s Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida and the Gili’s. The nearby islands can be an ultimate paradise escape where you can engage maximum chill and experience some pretty incredible views. 

If you’re looking for a destination to completely switch off from the outside world- hop on a domestic flight to Labuan Bajo and take a cruise around Komodo Islands. Being a home to the world's biggest lizard, Komodo National Park is full of natural wonders including diverse marine life and the most spectacular landscapes. 

What to expect from cruising around Komodo? Swimming with manta rays, snorkeling through the most incredible coral reefs or hiking viewpoints like Palau Padar are just to start with. Komodo is where you can find lagoons similar to those in the Maldives. What is also very unique about this destination are the pink sand beaches. 

Explore fairy Cappadocia, Turkey

Cappadocia is a semi-arid region in central Turkey known for its spectacular landscape and hot air balloons taking off at sunrise. Is Cappadocia truly as beautiful as it appears in Google gallery? Easy to say- it’s even better when experienced in person. 

Arriving in Göreme is mindblowing. The triangle-shaped rocks, often called the Fairy Chimneys, make you feel like you landed on the Moon. 

The accommodation in Cappadocia is one of a kind too as many hotels have the rooms carved in the rocks giving you the impression of sleeping in a cave. Although the decor and local architecture are out of this world, the sunrise is when the real magic happens. 

Stepping into the hotel rooftop terrace in the morning will get you to experience some of the most beautiful moments. Just imagine hundreds of hot air balloons flying into the morning sky. 

Not only beautiful, Cappadocia is also an affordable place to travel around. Considering the transport, accommodation as well as dining out, Turkey is pocket-friendly in general which is a very important factor for many. -Silhouette Island: The unspoilt beauty of the Seychelles. Visit for hiking, diving, snorkelling but above all- wildlife spotting. 

The beaches in the Seychelles are bordered with huge granite rocks which are signature for this island country. You cannot really experience similar landscapes anywhere else in the world. Combining the unusual landscape, dreamiest sunsets and delicious creole cuisine, the Seychelles Islands should definitely make a cut to your bucket list, if they haven’t already!

If you love the diversity of places you explore- choose Greece. With the transfers being very affordable and convenient, you can visit a few islands within a short amount of time. You have a huge variety to choose from- from dreamy and romantic Santorini, to a party place that Mykonos is. Although Greece is one of the most popular travel destinations in Europe, it still has many off-the-beaten track places to explore with no crowds- especially when you want to stay on a budget and travel in a low season.

Santorini: The cycladic island attracting couples and luxury travellers from all around the world. Although Santorini is a popular wedding destination and is rather an expensive island when it comes to accommodation and food, there are still options for the budget travellers. Even if you’re stopping in Santorini for a day only, it will be worth experiencing the iconic sunset and the view of Caldera cliffs. The beauty of Santorini is beyond description. 

Milos: Crystal clear waters, moonscape and picturesque seaside villages- welcome to Milos. The famous cliffs of Sarakiniko beach can easily fit in the list of the most spectacular natural wonders in Europe. Milos is a very relaxed island, surrounded with dramatic coastline and endless coves. 

Mykonos: Perfect getaway for party and pub-crawl lovers. Mykonos is a trending Greek island and it attracts travellers with its picturesque white and blue streets, boho-luxe vibe and vibrant nightlife. 

Ios: White-washed houses, the most stunning beaches and insanely turquoise water- this is Ios. The island is very small, and not as popular as others which makes Ios a perfect Greek getaway.
