Without a doubt, Bali is an incredible destination not only when it comes to its natural wonders, but also food. The variety of stylish cafes, delicious and aesthetically-pleasing food and iconic açai bowls are just some of the reasons why I love dining-out in Bali so much.
Today I’m taking you to some of my favourite cafes, restaurants and beach clubs which are not only a great culinary experience, but also perfect Instagram photo backdrop. Let’s get hungry!
Kynd Community is a great cafe located in the heart of Seminyak. Firstly, it’s popular for it’s beautifully-served food which includes the iconic açai bowls. Secondly, the stunning and instagrammable interior attracts the visitors all year round.
This cafe gets packed for breakfast and lunch, so it’s worth getting here early. The menu is vegan/vegetarian and the selection is great! My faveourites here are obviously the açai bowls and Oreo milkshakes, so yum!
Cafe Organic is a health conscious cafe with a passion for sustainability. I love their chilled interior and best veggie burgers! They deserve a big shoutout for sourcing food from organic and ethically producing farms in Bali. Guys at Cafe Organic have also some cool merchandise inside the cafe, make sure you get yourself one of their fabulous reusable tote bags!
The Loft is my favourite coffee place in Canggu. I adore this cafe! It’s super stylish, serves incredible breakfast and lunch options and is a perfect spot for digital nomads. It’s located by the main road in Canggu and each time I stop by, this place is not packed which makes the whole dining experience much more enjoyable.
Besides the catchy name, The Place With No Name has probably the best food in Uluwatu area. Even though I didn’t take any photos here as I decided to have an unplugged evening, this place is definitely worth being on your list! The interior is beautiful- full of lush plants and decorated with macrame and stylish furniture. This restaurant is perfect for dinner, it allows you to book a table and is really spacious which gives you a bit more privacy than most restaurants in Bali.
Although there are many restaurants and pubs around that host live music events, make sure you choose The Place With No Name instead. It’s truly a restaurant like no other.
The prices are still great considering the whole culinary experience. My favourites were the crispy fish burger (OMG!) and lava cake. It’s definitely one of those place serving food you will remember!
Zest is a plant-based restaurant located in the vibrant centre of Ubud which is close to popular Campuhan Ridge Walk. I’s nestled in the stunning building overlooking the lush landscape. Food here is truly delicious, the recipes are different from what is served in most balinese restaurants. Although the prices here are a bit higher than usual, Zest is definitely a place worth visiting. The ambience here is one of a kind!
Dreamsea Surd Camp is both- incredible food and the dreamiest hotel rooms. This place is located in Uluwatu, which is a perfect sunset spot. The restaurant serves delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as panoramic views of the ocean, surfers and the beach.
I would fully recommend staying here for a night when in Uluwatu!
I am not wrong saying that this cafe is serves the prettiest food in Bali! This cafe is relatively new, but quickly gained Instagram-fame thanks to it’s stunning interior design and incredible food. Guys at Balibola take the food presentation to the next level. I mean… just take a look!
Balibola is the first flexitarian cafe in Bali, with half of it’s menu being vegan.
Opening directly onto the black beach of Canggu, the Lawn is my favourite beach lounge in Bali. The sound of waves rolling in, the chilled, yet elegant vibe make the place truly unique.
It’s one of the best places on the island to pop in for a drink and enjoy the dreamiest sunset views. Although their prices are quite high, the espresso martini is definitely worth every rupiah!
Shady Shack is a cute plant-based lunch spot located in Canggu. Although this place gets super busy as it’s one of the trending cafes in this area, the food is totally worth the visit! I love Shady Shack for the chilled vibe, good prices and nachos!
Give cafe is another cute breakfast/lunch spot where you can snap some Instagram pics, but also contribute to a beautiful cause. The name ‘Give’ stands for giving back to the community, which is the vision of the owners. This cafe is all about supporting the charities and helping fight the fires, floods as well as the climate change. Moreover, the owners look at the bigger picture and care about both- people and the planet.

★Sisterfields Bali– Aussie-vibe cafe and some of the yummiest recipes in Seminyak.
★Milk and Madu– Incredible breakfast and coffee place in Berawa and Ubud. Although these two locations serve similar food, their branch in Ubud is much better!
★Quince– Fresh, healthy and experimental food which you should not miss!
★Peloton Supershop The best vegan cafe in Canggu. The meals are unique and loaded with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Even if you’re not plant-based, you need to try the menu created by the vegan queen- Ellie Bullen!
★Manggis– Although there are many vegan cafes in Bali, not all of them serve ‘meaty’ dishes! Order spaghetti or meatballs and stay fully plant-based!
★Coffee Cartel– Although the Balinese coffee is delicious in general, Coffee Cartel is always a great treat!
★Wild Habit– There’s no many good pizza places in Bali, but this one is great for authentic Italian pizza, good wine and overall atmosphere.
★La Baracca– A stunning Italian restaurant with branches in Canggu and Uluwatu with real and traditional Italian food, great selection of pasta, pizza and wine.
