    The best beaches to visit in Maui, Hawaii

    Figuring as the second largest island in Hawaii, Maui is a real playground for adventurers and lovers of the finest natural wonders that Earth has to offer.

    1. KA’ANAPALI BEACH

    Often described as one of the most beautiful beaches in Hawaii and the whole of the US, Ka’anapali is a three-mile stretch of white sands and crystal waters that attracts the travellers with great activities and a variety of resorts and condos. 

    Ka’anapali is great for families and sport lovers who flock here to try surfing, kayaking, parasailing, scuba diving or take a whale-watching tour with the local organisers.

    2. WAILEA BEACH, MAUI

    Are you a fan of either whale watching or celebrity spotting? Taking the full advantage of the scenic settings, Wailea Beach is a place where you can find luxurious resorts and restaurants including Four Seasons and Fairmont. This aesthetically pleasing location overlooks Molokini Crater as well as the islands of Lanai and Kahoolawe. It’s also an outstanding spot for whales watching if you visit between early December and late March.

    3. MAKENA BEACH

    Often related to as a ‘Big Beach’, Makena is indeed one of the longest stretches of white sand in Maui. Extending nearly ⅔ of a mile long, this breathtaking location provides the stunning views of nearby Molokini and Kahoolawe islands.  Grab a sunscreen and lounger and set up to enjoy a full day of ultimate relaxation in the surroundings of lush nature and turquoise waters.     4. KAPALUA BEACH

    Without a doubt, Kapalua is one of the hottest spots for snorkelling in Maui due to the high visibility, calm waters and the abundance of marine life. What is more, the beach itself is breathtakingly beautiful and surrounded by swaying palm trees and distant sights of the nearby islands.

    5. HAMOA BEACH

    Surrounded by cliffs and the finest nature Hamoa Beach is a popular surfing point on the island of Maui. Exposed to the open ocean, this coastline gem has perfect condition for both- snorkeling and catching a good wave. 

    Hamoa Beach is a convenient and worth visiting spot if you’re driving the Hana Highway. If you’re in a need of a beach pit stop, pull over and enjoy a peaceful swim! 

    Be aware that the swimming conditions in Maui change from mellow to severe very quick so always keep an eye on the local forecasts!

    6.  HONOKALANI BEACH

    With its signature jet-black sands and surrounding lagoonsHana's Honokalani Beach is one of Maui’s most photo-worthy beaches. But besides the volcanic pebble shores, Honokalani has plenty of great things to do around, from surfing to cave exploring. This wild, unspoiled and raw natural gem is your must-see spot while travelling down the Hana Highway!

    Don’t visit Maui beaches, lots of tourist get bitten by sharks and also drown either swimming or falling off cliffs here! Not safe for tourists! STAY AWAY if you want to survive. Go to Oahu, way safer!
