Ohio FedEx Driver Dumbfounded After Porch Pirate Grabs Package He Just Delivered

With how often most of us are shopping online these days, mishaps are bound to happen. I'm talking lost packages, accidentally selecting the wrong address at check out, getting your package and realizing that you were sent somebody else's order... things that can definitely be a bummer, but happen eventually to everyone. And once in awhile, the worst happens: Your package gets delivered, but someone else seizes the opportunity and steals it. It's sad that this is still something that happens, and not all companies will replace your item if it does.

But I'm willing to bet that what happened in this TikTok video is one of the few times — if not the only time — something like this played out right in front of another human being. Just as a FedEx driver was delivering a package, it got stolen. It's one of those things you just have to see to believe.

In doorbell cam footage that was shared by @usatoday on Wednesday, June 5, we can see a FedEx delivery driver scanning a package, and everything is pretty normal — until it's not.

No sooner does he put the package down in front of the door than does a masked man run up behind him, snatch the package, and run away, and the FedEx driver is left standing there in shock... because who would have ever believed something like that would happen?!

Then we can see the resident come out of the house as the driver explains what happened... though really, is there any explaining this?

Most people would wait to steal something until the driver was gone, but this porch pirate really had some nerve.

This footage was originally posted on the Columbus subreddit , where the person who was supposed to get the package was trying to track down the man who stole it. He explained that it was an Apple Watch coming to him from AT&T.

"Found the thief on [Facebook Marketplace," he wrote in a comment. "Accomplice picked it off porch and person who posted works at FedEX. So she is getting addresses to someone of where big ticket items are going. Anything marked from ATT, Apple, etc. she must be getting someone to stake out the deliveries."

The man drove off in a blue Honda with no license plates, making it harder to track him down.

Hopefully he's able to get this situation resolved quickly. What a bummer!
