FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Several of the best girls basketball prospects in the Midwest converged in the Summit City this weekend for the Queen of the Rock Classic.

The girls basketball showcase featured several AAU programs that compete in the top national events across the country.

Representing northeast Indiana were several familiar faces from the Highlight Zone. Columbia City’s Addi Baxter, a Butler commit, is set to play with the Indiana Junior All-Stars as a core member next month.

Meanwhile, current sophomores Myah Epps (Homestead), Gabby Helsom (Homestead), Miley Wareing (Bishop Luers), Vanessa Rosswurm (Norwell), Joslyn Bricker (Warsaw) and Khala Williams-Thomas (Northrop) also competed in this weekend’s showcase. These sophomores were selected to the Indiana Futures Game that is scheduled for early June.

WANE 15 caught up with Baxter, Epps and Wareing during this weekend’s showcase to discuss their development, their recent accolades and look back on this past season.
