Lakeland tabs Schneider boys basketball coach

LAGRANGE, Ind. (WANE) – Long-time teacher and former assistant TJ Schneider is taking over the Lakeland boys basketball program, as the high school made the announcement on Monday night.

Schneider takes over for Chris Keil, who stepped down last month after four seasons. Lakeland went 47-47 under Keil, including a 17-7 mark last season that saw the Lakers clinch the NECC regular season title.

Schneider is a 1996 Lakeland grad who previous served as an assistant under Tim Sirk for the Lakers.
