FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A rough season for the TinCaps continued with a 7-1 loss to the Dayton Dragons on Sunday.

Dayton claimed 5-of-6 games during this week’s series at Parkview Field, with the TinCaps also stumbling through a 5-game skid.

The Dragons grabbed an early lead after scoring three runs in the top of the second inning. Fort Wayne cut into the deficit with an RBI double by Addison Kopack. However, that was the only run the TinCaps could muster all afternoon.

Fort Wayne is off Monday before beginning their final road trip of the season. The TinCaps are set to play 12 straight games on the road before their final home stand in early September. That road trip begins with a 6-game series at Peoria that starts on Tuesday.
