PEORIA, Ill. (WANE) – The TinCaps managed just one run on four hits as Fort Wayne fell 2-1 in the first game of a six-game series against the Peoria Chiefs on Tuesday night at Dozer Park.

Kai Murphy’s single plated Wyatt Hoffman in the top of the sixth, knotting the game at one run apiece. Peoria immediately got that run back, with Darlin Moquete blasting a solo shot – his 11th home run of the season – in the bottom of the sixth to give the Chiefs the lead for good.

The TinCaps and Chiefs play game two of their six-game series at 7:35 p.m. on Wednesday.
