Dwenger volleyball beats Bellmont at The Teepee

DECATUR, Ind. (WANE) – Bishop Dwenger, last year’s SAC champion, headed down to Decatur on Tuesday to square off with a Bellmont program that was the 3A state runner-up last fall, with the Saints coming away with a 3-1 (29-27, 20-25, 25-21, 25-2) victory at “The Teepee.”

Nicolette Watercutter paced the Saints with 17 kills, while Lindsay Snyder added 12 and Jillian Tippmann 11.

Bellmont junior and Purdue University recruit MaryKate Scheumann led the Braves with 12 kills.

Bishop Dwenger improves to 2-1 with the win, while Bellmont is now 0-1.

Next up, Dwenger hosts Angola on Wednesday while the Braves host Bishop Luers on Thursday.
