Carroll girls soccer charges back in win over Leo

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Carroll girls soccer, ranked no. 9 in this week’s 3A state poll, hosting a Leo program that’s coming off back-to-back trips to the 2A state title match, with the Chargers scoring all three of their goals in the second half to win 3-1 Wednesday night to headline area prep soccer action.

Leo’s Emma Swygart scored in the 10th minute as the Lions built a 1-0 lead at the half before Carroll dominated the final 40 minutes of action.

Carroll improves to 2-0 overall and will face Mishawaka Marian on Friday.

Leo falls to 0-2 this seasonand will host Canterbury on Saturday.
