Taste of the Arts 2024 takes over Downtown Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Taste of the Arts Festival packs Downtown Fort Wayne with a sensory-filled experience on Saturday.

The multi-block party extend from the corners of Lafayette and Main streets to Barry and Clay streets. Various culinary, visual and performing arts span throughout the festival.

This year, The History Center, Cinema Center and the Fort Wayne Dance Collective are added to the festival for visitors to view historical artifacts, films and participate in movement classes, respectively.

Rachelle Reinking is director of communications at Arts United and an organizer of Taste of the Arts. She said she was impressed with the artists’ dedication to creating and showing off their pieces.

“It’s just so amazing,” Reinking said. “… The amount of people who are putting in all of this creative work all in one place, just having that display for the community, is really neat,”

Attendees may visit local organizations’ tables as they present kid-friendly activities, purchase food and drinks from 20 different vendors, or watch various performances scattered throughout the multi-block party.

Taste of the Arts runs Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Arts Campus Fort Wayne located on 300 E. Main St. For more information on the festival vendors and schedules, visit the Arts United website .
