Mann, Norwell girls soccer rally at Blackhawk Christian

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Trailing 2-1 late in the second half, Norwell girls soccer rallied in the final 11 minutes to score three straight goals in a 4-2 win.

Grace Mann, who recently committed to Creighton, scored the game-winning goal with just over seven minutes left. Mann led the Knights with two goals on Saturday.

Prior to Mann’s game-winning goal, Ridley Sheets tied the match at 2-2 with just over 10 minutes left. Karrigan Melcher scored an insurance goal in the final seconds to seal a win for Norwell.

Following Saturday’s match, WANE 15 caught up with Mann on her recent commitment to the Bluejays.

Norwell opens NE8 play against Leo on Wednesday, while Blackhawk Christian hosts East Noble on Tuesday.
