FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – After ending a nine-game losing streak on Saturday night, the TinCaps ended their road trip at Peoria with an 8-5 win on Sunday.

With the game tied at 5-5 in the eighth inning, the TinCaps plated a pair of runs to take the lead for good. Wyatt Hoffman laced a RBI single into left field to put Fort Wayne in front, 6-5. Nick Vogt added an insurance run with another RBI single, opening the door for Hoffman to score off a fielding error.

Jacob Campbell put an exclamation point on Sunday’s win with a solo shot in the top of the ninth inning.

The TinCaps are off on Monday before heading to Lansing for their final road series of the season. Game one is set for 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday at Jackson Field.
