Leo grad Wall picked in Major League Rugby draft

LEO, Ind. (WANE) – Leo High School graduate and Indiana University standout Peyton Wall will begin his professional rugby career in the Windy City, as Wall was selected with the 10th overall pick in the 2024 Major League Rugby draft by the Chicago Hounds.

A first round selection, Wall joins a franchise that made its MLR debut in 2023. The Hounds are one of twelve team in the U.S. that play in the league, which was founded in 2017.

Wall originally signed to play college rugby at Life University out of high school .

While at Leo, WANE featured Wall when he was selected to represent USA Rugby on a trip to Ireland.

Also a standout football player while at Leo High School, Wall was selected to the 2019 WANE TV Fab 15 as one of the top 15 players in northeast Indiana .
