LANSING, Mich. (WANE) – Fort Wayne survived a late-game rally from the Lansing Lugnuts in a 3-2 win on Saturday night at Jackson Field. The win secures at least a series split for the TinCaps.

Fort Wayne wasted no time at the plate on Saturday. Ethan Salas and Nerwilian Cedeño both smacked an RBI single in the first inning to give the TinCaps a 2-0 lead. Tyler Robertson drove in another run in the second inning to give Fort Wayne a 3-0 advantage.

Lansing finally cracked the scoreboard in the seventh inning on a RBI single. The Lugnuts cut the deficit to one on a solo shot in the bottom of the ninth inning. With the game-tying run on third base, Robertson secured the final out on a flyout to lock up back-to-back wins for the TinCaps.

Fort Wayne plays their final road game of the season on Sunday. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. at Jackson Field.
