Saint Francis football closes in on season opener

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – College football is back in bulk, and Saint Francis is about to join the frenzy.

Ahead of the Cougars’ season opener, Saint Francis held a kickoff luncheon on Thursday at Wings Etc. off Illinois Road.

Kevin Donley is about to kick off his 27th season leading the Cougars. Last year, Saint Francis finished 6-4, earning their first winning season since 2019. The Cougars hope to take another step toward restoring a championship culture this fall.

Saint Francis kicks off their season on Saturday at Indiana Wesleyan. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
