FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A rough season of TinCaps baseball came to a fitting end on Sunday, with Fort Wayne falling to South Bend, 3-1.

With the loss, South Bend clinches the final series of the season by taking four of six games.

Cam Smith put the Cubs on the board with a RBI double in the top of the third inning. Christian Hernandez knocked in two more runs in the top of the seventh inning to give South Bend a 3-0 lead.
