NEW ORLEANS, La. (WANE) – After playing for the Pelicans NBA Summer League team a few months ago, New Orleans will get a closer look at Fort Wayne native Keion Brooks Jr. as the former Highlight Zone star has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the team.

The deal gives Brooks an invitation to NBA training camp with the Pelicans. It also essentially acts as bonus for Brooks if he winds up playing for the Pelicans NBA G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, as expected.

Brooks averaged 9.8 points and 3.5 rebounds per game during Summer League play. He went undrafted after spending his final two years of college at the University of Washington. A six-seven forward, Brooks averaged 21.1 points a game for the Huskies over his final season. He was picked to the PAC-12 First Team.

Brooks played his first three years of college basketball at the University of Kentucky.
