    Save A Life Day distributes naloxone drug, educates on use

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Project.ME sponsors a naloxone education and giveaway to celebrate the national Save A Life Day on Thursday.

    Across the country, 30 states host over 300 naloxone giveaways on Save A Life Day. The giveaways include lessons on how to utilize naloxone and save someone from an overdose.

    Naloxone, more commonly known as the brand name Narcan, is a drug used to reverse an opioid overdose.

    Naloxone giveaway runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday at the project.ME headquarters located on 2305 Broadway. Naloxone boxes are also located on both sides of the building and is offered inside the headquarters during operational hours.
