LOS ANGELES, Calif. (WANE) – Fort Wayne native and Bishop Luers grad Kevin Kiermaier’s status for the upcoming MLB playoffs is up in the air, as Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said the outfielder dislocated the ring finger on his left hand in Saturday’s game against the Rockies.

Roberts said Kiermaier is day-to-day going forward.

The Dodgers recalled outfielder James Outman to the big league roster for Sunday’s regular season finale, meaning Kiermaier could miss some time.

A four-time Gold Glove winner, Kiermaier was traded to the Dodgers from the Blue Jays on July 30. The Dodgers, who won the N.L.. West title, will play the winner of the Padres/Mets or Braves Wildcard Series, in the NLDS.
