Future NCAA events coming to Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Summit City will be hosting more NCAA postseason action in the near future, as Fort Wayne was awarded five upcoming events for 2027 & 2028.

In May of 2027 Fort Wayne’s Sycamore Hills Golf Club, in partnership with Purdue Fort Wayne, will host a Division I Women’s Golf Regional. It is one of six regional events that will feed into the national championship.

The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum has also been awarded the 2027 & 2028 Division II Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship.

The Coliseum is no stranger to hosting postseason college basketball. Fort Wayne has hosted the NCAA DIII Men’s Basketball Championship since 2019 – including last year’s Final Four that saw Trine win the national title in the Thunder’s own backyard.
