GOTW Preview: Bluffton at Adams Central

MONROE, Ind. (WANE) – It’s week eight of the high school football regular season, and we’re getting down to the crown when it comes to conference championships – and perhaps no one know that better than Bluffton and Adams Central, who will square off in an ACAC showdown Friday night in your Highlight Zone “Game of the Week.”

The Jets come in 4-0 in ACAC and can clinch the conference title for a fourth year in a row with a victory over the Tigers on Friday, as Michael Mosser’s team would thusly hold the head-to-head tiebreaker advance over both Bluffton and Heritage. Adams Central beat Heritage 33-14 in week five.

If Bluffton wins on Friday, the Tigers would keep their ACAC title hopes alive by finishing 5-1 in conference with a head-to-head win over Adams Central. The Tigers only conference loss would be a week seven defeat at the hands of Heritage. This scenario would also allow Heritage to climb back into the conference title conversation, as the Patriots are 3-1 in ACAC play with games against Southern Wells and Jay County remaining.
