FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Carroll girls volleyball shook off a sluggish start to sweep Angola in straight sets (25-22, 25-6, 25-20) on Thursday night.

With the win, Carroll wraps up regular season play with a 26-3 record.

Bailey Sinish led the Chargers’ offense with a team-high 17 kills and four service aces on Thursday. Sophia Gisslen dished out 29 assists, while Chloe Herschberger earned a team-high seven digs on her senior night.

The Chargers open 4A sectional play at Snider next Saturday against the hosting Panthers. Should the Chargers win, Carroll would face the winner of the other semifinal match between North Side and Northrop for a sectional title later that night. Angola (23-4) hosts Leo to open 3A sectional play next Thursday.
