FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne TinCaps teams up with Indiana Pork to give hundreds of pounds of frozen pork to Community Harvest Food Bank Friday morning.

The 575 pounds of individually wrapped and frozen pork will hit the food bank’s shelves next week.

Adam Roby, community engagement director for Community Harvest, said the pork will be able to feed more than 2,000 people in northeastern Indiana.

“Community Harvest loves to have protein,” Roby said. ” … It’s our biggest need, so to have a bulk donation of this amount is huge for us.”

According to the TinCaps’ media release, the amount of meat mimics the 2,294 tenderloin sandwiches sold at Parkview Field during the 2024 season.
