GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — A Hicksville, Ohio man died Thursday afternoon following a crash on I-69 in Grant County, according to Indiana State Police (ISP).

According to a preliminary investigation from ISP, a semitruck heading north on I-69 near Van Buren rear-ended a 2021 Ford Explorer for “an undetermined reason.”

The Grant County Coroner’s Office pronounced the driver of the Ford, 81-year-old Noah Yoder of Hicksville, dead at the scene despite life-saving measures from medics.

ISP believes neither alcohol nor narcotics are suspected factors in the crash, but the crash is still under investigation.

The driver of the semitruck did not suffer any injuries.

Officers with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office and Van Buren Police Department also responded to the crash.
