Komets hammer Heartlanders in exhibition opener

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Last year’s Team MVP Jack Dugan tallied a pair of goals to lead the Komets over Iowa 6-0 in the first of two exhibition games.

The Komets and Heartlanders will play another exhibition game Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Coliseum.

The regular season gets underway for Fort Wayne with a road game Friday, Oct. 18 at Iowa. The home opener is slated for Friday, Oct. 25 against Cincinnati at 7:30 p.m.
