    Repeat fire in vacant house in southeast Fort Wayne

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — FWPD extinguish the second fire in four months at the same abandoned house in southeast Fort Wayne.

    The cause of the fire is under investigation.

    A little after 9 a.m. Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to an abandoned house that previously had a fire in July, according to a release

    When firefighters arrived on scene, at 110 W. Wildwood Avenue, they found a two-story house with light smoke showing from the front. FWFD located and extinguished the fire in the dining room area.

    The fire was under control at 9:29 a.m. FWFD said no one was inside the house along with no working smoke detector.

    The cause of the fire is under investigation.
