    DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office finds suspect in hit-and-run involving bicyclist

    DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office has found the suspect in a hit-and-run crash after a bicyclist was struck and left in critical condition Tuesday morning.

    The crash happened around 6:20 a.m. in the 3400 block of County Road 64a near Auburn while the bicyclist was heading east.

    DeKalb County detectives initially asked for public assistance to find the suspect and the accompanying vehicle, which was believed to be a 1997-2003 Buick Century that is “maroon in color.” The vehicle would also have been travelling east at the time of the crash and would have front end damage, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

    Police have not provided any other information on the suspect.
