Recently on Good Vibes , founder of Atlanta International Fashion Week , Paula Whittle shared insights about the upcoming event.

Set to take place from September 24 to 29, this year's theme is " Passport to Fashion ." Each day of the event will feature different activities, including fashion shows, workshops, and a celebrity charity fashion show. Ms. Whittle noted that the goal is to provide an inclusive environment where creativity can flourish.

During the discussion, Ms. Whittle highlighted the resurgence of denim as a key trend for the fall season, mentioning its versatility in various styles, from dresses to unique pants. This trend reflects a broader shift in fashion toward both modern interpretations and nostalgic pieces.

Ms. Whittle founded Atlanta International Fashion Week in 2007 to address a lack of accessible platforms for local talent. She wanted to create opportunities similar to those offered by New York Fashion Week but open to the public. Her vision has been to elevate the Atlanta fashion scene, which she describes as rich in culture and creativity.

Community engagement is a central theme for Ms. Whittle, who actively supports initiatives for the homeless and underserved women. She believes that fashion can play a crucial role in uplifting individuals and fostering change.

The week-long event will kick off with an opening night at Hotel Colee in Buckhead, followed by shows at Atlantic Station and a charity event at the Biltmore downtown. Attendees can expect a variety of experiences designed to educate and inspire.
