Dumped boat pulled out of Yakima River in Prosser
PROSSER, Wash. - An abandoned boat was found by police officers in the Yakima River near the Crawford Park boat launch in Prosser on July 2. After an investigation, PPD officers found that the boat, called the Savannah Babe, was from the Tri-Cities and had been dumped and left in the river.

Jul. 11—MOSES LAKE — The Pioneer Fire burning along the eastern shore of Lake Chelan is still growing, and was at 12,265 acres Wednesday, according to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. State Prepares for Big Blaze: WA Officials Mobilize Resources Across Region
If there's a big fire anytime soon in the region the state is ready. State officials are gathering resources and placing them in strategic areas in case of a big blaze. Officials from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources say they've sent equipment and firefighters to Kittitas, Yakima, and Klickitat Counties. The three counties in the state that state officials say are primed for a wildfire after multiple days of hot, dry, and windy conditions and are presently under National Weather Service Red Flag Warnings.
