MERIWETHER COUNTY, Ga. ( WRBL ) — Three juveniles are in custody after shots were fired at a gas station parking lot in Warm Springs on Sunday, according to the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities responded to the Marathon in the 5800 block of Spring Street at about 8:50 p.m. on July 14. A tan Chevrolet Tahoe and a pickup truck were involved in a fight at the store’s parking lot, according to witness testimony and evidence from the scene.

Witness testimony goes on to state the occupants of the Tahoe fired shots at the parked truck from the intersection of Spring Street and Whitehouse Parkway. Both the pickup truck and the gas station were struck multiple times.

According to the sheriff’s office, both vehicles left the scene. The individual driving the truck returned shortly later.

A BOLO was issued for suspects connected to this case. A tan Chevrolet Tahoe was later found in Coweta County. Multiple law enforcement agencies arrested the suspects and they were later taken to Meriwether County Jail, where they are being held without bond.

These are the identities of the suspects, as released by the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office:

    • Detavius Ellison Jr., 17, of Manchester and Columbus
    • Patrick Bernard Green, 18, of Manchester
    • Markevious Lorenzo Warrior, 19, of Manchester ( “Warrior was out on a $50,000 bond at the time of this incident for an incident that occurred at the same location in June 2023” )

Authorities say multiple firearms found in the suspects’ custody matched the shell casings from the scene.

The sheriff’s office added this note on the suspects:

“Several of these subjects have similar transaction charges for gun violence filed through the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office related to a previous incident that we charged in June of 2023 at the same incident location.”
