When Amie Coleman started as a host with Texas Roadhouse in Macon 13 years ago, she “dreamed of becoming a managing partner from day one.”

Coleman has served as a local store marketer and in varied management positions at the Riverside Drive restaurant, including senior service manager. In that role, she received praise from customers and colleagues alike in a 2022 Texas Roadhouse promotional video on YouTube.

Today, Coleman is realizing her dream: She’s about to open a Texas Roadhouse location next year in Warner Robins as its managing partner.

“I am so excited to bring our legendary food, legendary service to Warner Robins and show this community just what Texas Roadhouse is all about,” Coleman said in a statement provided by Texas Roadhouse public relations.

As with all Texas Roadhouse managing partners, Coleman will have ownership interest in the Warner Robins location, according to a company fact sheet. In exchange for 10% of the profits, Coleman was required to put down a $25,000 deposit and sign a five-year employment contract.

The Warner Robins store is going up at 4070 Watson Blvd., between Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q and La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham.

Preparation recently started at the site, but work has been delayed by a series of afternoon and evening showers over the last few days.

The restaurant is expected to open in the spring of 2025 depending on construction timeliness, according to Texas Roadhouse public relations.

Texas Roadhouse is known for its hand-cut steaks, fall-off-the-bone ribs, made-from-scratch sides, fresh-baked bread and a variety of margaritas.

Based in Louisville, Kentucky, the restaurant chain also has two sister restaurants, Bubba’s 33 and Jaggers.

    Expanding in Middle Georgia

As of June 25, the company and its franchisees operate 762 restaurants in 49 states, one U.S. territory and 10 foreign countries, according to the company’s investor relations website. That number includes 703 Texas Roadhouse restaurants, 48 Bubba’s 33 locations, and 11 Jaggers restaurants.

The first Texas Roadhouse restaurant opened in Clarksville, Indiana, in 1993.

Last year, Texas Roadhouse was named both the fastest-growing restaurant brand and the No. 1 sit-down restaurant chain in the U.S., according to an “Eat This, Not That!” report. If all goes according to plan, about 800 Texas Roadhouse restaurants are expected to be in operation by the end of the year.

Not only is the brand growing, the size of the restaurants also are expanding. The average Texas Roadhouse is now about 7,500-square-feet to 7,900-square-feet and can seat 300 guests, according to the company fact sheet.

The new Warner Robins restaurant is expected to be about 7,926-square-feet with a guest capacity of 308, according Texas Roadhouse public relations.
