Bradford County man dies in ATV crash

WARREN TWP. Pa. ( WETM ) – A Bradford County man has died after an ATV crash that took place over the weekend in Warren Township.

According to Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda, the crash occurred on Hickys Rocks Road on Saturday, July 6, around 10:17 p.m. Police say that the driver, Nicholas P. Byrne, 30, of Rome, was traveling south on Hickys Rock Road when he failed to clear a left curve.

At this time, Byrne was separated from the ATV, where he then hit a tree and then landed in a culvert ditch. Byrne sustained a fatal head injury as a result and was pronounced dead at the scene. According to police, he was not wearing any safety equipment during the crash.

H.O.P.S. EMS, Warren Township Fire Department, the Bradford County Coroner and Suttons Towing assisted PSP at the crash scene.
