I was proud to cast my affirmative vote for a basic education funding bill that would help get our public schools the dollars they need to assist students, teachers and staff, and I spoke in support of the bill prior to passage. Rite Aid has been closing hundreds of stores since it filed for bankruptcy in October. Of the 699 stores that the company has announced in bankruptcy filings that it is closing, 80 are in Rite Aid’s home state of Pennsylvania.
