Threat Leads to Arrest of Two Subjects in Warren County
On Sunday June 9th Warren County Deputies responded to Roseville after a man claimed the person he had been traveling with threatened him with a firearm. Both men were detained for investigation. Search of the vehicle they occupied led to the recovery of a revolver, cocaine, unsealed marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and cash. Cody Frost, 28, of Colchester and Seth Clay, 22 of Knoxville were each arrested and charged with armed violence and possession of a controlled substance. Due to a medical issue Frost was taken by ambulance to OSF in Monmouth for treatment. Clay was taken to the Warren County Jail to await a detention hearing. Investigation into the matter continues.
Monmouth Cowboys/United Lions Junior Football League Signups in July
It’s never too early to think about tackle football. The Warren County JFL program is currently looking for players for the upcoming JFL football season in the fall. Last year, Warren County had enough players for two teams, the Monmouth Cowboys and the United Lions. The Lions qualified for the Galesburg JFL Super Bowl in 2023. Josie Lair helps with the recruiting of players for the Warren County teams. She gave some details on this year’s signup at this year’s WRAM/WMOI Halfway to Freezing For Food event.

Stolen Car Pursuit Ends in Warren County
On June 4, 2024, at approximately 12:55 A.M. Burlington Police Officers responded to a report of an assault and the assault victim’s car being taken at 3160 Agency Rd. Upon officers’ arrival, they met with the victim who stated he was forcibly removed from his vehicle and his vehicle was stolen by a white male. The vehicle was later called into the Warren County, Illinois dispatch center as a reckless driver. The vehicle was located and the driver fled from law enforcement. At the end of the pursuit, the driver, identified as Eric Sparr, was arrested on Illinois charges related to the pursuit. Charges from the Burlington incident are forthcoming.

Man arrested in Warren County after allegedly stealing car during Burlington assault
A man was arrested in Illinois after allegedly assaulting another man and stealing his car in Burlington early Tuesday morning. Eric Sparr, 34, was arrested by authorities in Warren County and charged with possessing a stolen vehicle (class 2 felony), aggravated fleeing from police (class 4 felony), and driving under the influence of alcohol (class A misdemeanor).
