Shooting spree in Vicksburg and Warren County
A number of shootings have happened in Vicksburg and Warren County the past several days. Last night, just before 9:30 p.m., a two car shootout happened in the 300 block of Grange Hall Road. At least seven Vicksburg Police units responded to the shootout and blocked the roadway for a period of time while they investigated the crime scene.

Warren Central softball player Sarah Cameron Fancher led Warren County in runs (54), stolen bases (26) and walks (32) this season. Fancher, a senior shortstop, finished the season with a .361 batting average, with four doubles and 13 RBIs. She has signed with East Central Community College.
Susan Ann Newby
Following a lengthy and valiant battle with cancer, Susan Ann Newby, age 70, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native passed away June 06, 2024. Ms. Newby was born August 11, 1953, and was preceded in death by her parents Bobby William and Reba Jo Hill Newby and a sister Deborah Lee Newby Hall.
