The Warren County Board of Commissioners announces a public hearing on July 1 at 6 p.m., at the Warren County Armory Civic Center, 501 US Hwy. 158 Business East, Warrenton. The hearing will address the county’s application for Community Development Block Grant funding under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, and gather public input.

Tare ‘T’ Davis is no stranger to Lake Gaston residents who know him as a third-term Warren County Commissioner serving the lake area. His territory of being well known expands well past the Warren County boundary. Davis was in familiar territory during his recent North Carolina District 2 State Senate fundraiser at the Weldon Mills Theater in Roanoke Rapids.

Treats for teachers
On May 29, the Warren County Memorial Unit 547 Ladies Auxiliary provided sweet treats for the teachers/staff at Mariam Boyd Elementary School. As the school year comes to a close, the Ladies Auxiliary wanted to show appreciation to the teachers for their dedication and hard work during the year.
