Welfare check leads to DWI arrest in Warren County
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A New York man is facing several charges following a welfare check Tuesday afternoon in Hackettstown. On July 16, at around 5:36 p.m., police received a 9-1-1 call to do a welfare check on a male who was possibly intoxicated after he was allegedly seen stumble into his silver Tesla, and was observed drinking shooters inside his vehicle outside the QuickChek on Main Street, police said.

The warning was for Hunterdon and Warren counties. "The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property.
