NEW BRUNSWICK – The estate of a man who died after being injured in an incident at a Somerset County psychiatric hospital has been awarded $600,000 in damages by a Middlesex County jury. After a three-week trial before Superior Court Judge Alberto Rivas, a jury found on June 18 that Carrier Clinic, of Montgomery, part of Hackensack Meridian Health, was liable in the death of 72-year-old Warren County resident Howard Pitchersky in March 2020. ...

Phillipsburg Democratic Committee Elects Lee Clark as New Party Chairman
PHILLIPSBURG, NJ - The Phillipsburg Democratic Committee elected Lee Clark as their party’s new Chairman during their June reorganization meeting. Lee Clark serves as a Councilman in Phillipsburg, Warren County’s largest municipality with a population of over 15,000. Clark made history as the town’s first African-American Councilman in 2019 after being appointed to fill a vacancy on the Republican-majority council following the resignation of fellow Democrat Josh Davis. Clark was elected to a full four-year term in the 2021 election along with running mate Keith Kennedy.
Warren County Habitat for Humanity’s Community Center Celebrates 2 Years!
For the past two years, Warren County Habitat for Humanity’s (Warren. County Habitat) building at 31 Belvidere Ave in Washington has operated as a successful Community Center. Many will remember the building as a simple office space with construction needed in the back, a Habitat for Humanity thrift shop, or even as the home of the Central Warren Youth Association (CWYA) for many years. In 2009, the CWYA donated the building to Warren County Habitat for Humanity with the hopes that the organization would someday continue providing services for youth. In 2022, that dream was finally realized.
