Woman pulling out of driveway killed in Warren County crash

A California woman was killed in a crash in Franklin in Warren County on Wednesday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on Dixie Highway south of Pennyroyal Road just after 3:30 p.m., according to the Lebanon Post of the Highway Patrol.

Investigators said Mary P. Hensley, 73, of Orange, Calif., was turning south onto Dixie Highway out of a private driveway in a 2008 Honda Civic when she was struck by a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 driven by James Mackey, 46, of Franklin, who was traveling north on Dixie Highway.

Hensley was taken by ambulance to Atrium Medical Center, where she died. Mackey was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Lebanon Post.
