Heating up
FEELING LIKE SUMMAH It’s a comfortable start to the day with 50s heading out the door. We will see a mix of sun and clouds today with highs in the 80s. You’ll also feel a bit more humidity today. The South Coast, Cape, and Island will be cooler in the 70s where the southwest breeze comes off the ocean. Heat and humidity will peak Friday with highs in the mid to upper 80s and feeling quite sticky. The morning will be dry, we are watching for the risk of showers and storms arriving any time after midday thanks to an approaching cold front. The greatest potential for some stronger storms will arrive later in the afternoon, so make sure you are weather aware. Storms may produce damaging gusts, hail, downpours, and frequent lightning. Some showers will linger into early Saturday, with the focus mainly across the Cape and Islands.
