BAZETTA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – Some playground equipment is getting replaced at Imagination Station in Bazetta Township.

A $300,000 state grant will help pay to upgrade and replace playground equipment at the park off of Warren-Meadville Road.

Imagination Station was built in 1995 with a useful life expectancy of 20 years. The upgrades will bring the playground up to current ADA guidelines, according to township trustees.

Over $500,000 of total renovations are happening at the park.

Trustees said this is the first time they have applied and received funding from the Ohio Capital Budget. They thanked Chairman Trustee Michael Hovis; Administration Secretary Deanna Longo, for seeking out and applying for the funds; and State Senator Sandra O’Brien.
